Lymphatic drainage
What is it
This popular technique was developed by Danish therapist Emil Vodder and his wife. Over time, the procedure has been improved and today it is considered one of the most popular in beauty and aesthetic centers around the world, however, its use is not exclusive to aesthetics. Lymphatic drainage is nothing more than a technique that aims to act on the lymphatic system, stimulating the acceleration of the movement of lymph to the lymph nodes.

Indications
It is recommended for those who have problems with fluid retention, cellulite, fatty lumps and swelling. Furthermore, lymphatic drainage stimulates tissue regeneration and is considered a great relaxant and tranquilizer, allowing the fight against localized fat and improving the body's anti-inflammatory action.
Benefits
Eliminates toxins, reduces swelling and improves circulation, helping with fluid retention and cellulite.
Contraindications
Despite the positive results, there are some contraindications for people with:
acute infections
heart failure
thrombosis
hypertension
Cancer
bronchial asthma
asthmatic bronchitis
How is done
Lymphatic drainage uses gliding movements to accelerate the process of removing liquids accumulated between cells and metabolic waste, sending them to the capillaries and ensuring their elimination.
Peridity
Twice a week.
Care
Lymphatic drainage is a gentle manual technique that stimulates the lymphatic system, promoting the elimination of toxins, reducing edema and promoting a feeling of lightness. Although relaxing, the procedure causes important physiological reactions, and post-session care is essential to amplify the benefits and avoid discomfort.
Avoid sun exposure, very hot environments (such as saunas or hot baths) and intense physical activity in the following 24 hours, as these factors can cause excessive vasodilation and impair the circulatory response promoted by the drainage.
Stay well hydrated throughout the day, drinking plenty of water, as this enhances the elimination of toxins mobilized during the procedure.
Choose light foods after the session to avoid overloading your metabolism, which will be in the detoxification phase.
Avoid wearing very tight clothing in the following hours, allowing lymphatic circulation to remain free and effective.
Follow the professional's instructions regarding the ideal frequency and combination with other treatments, respecting the intervals between sessions.
If you feel the need to urinate more frequently or notice a reduction in swelling, this is a sign that your body is responding positively to the technique.
