Facial drainage
What is it
Facial lymphatic drainage has preventive, aesthetic and therapeutic objectives, as it stimulates the defense system, tissue oxygenation and helps eliminate retained liquids, toning the skin and delaying tissue aging.

Indications
The technique alleviates problems of vascular origin.
Benefits
Reduces swelling, improves circulation and promotes a natural lifting effect, leaving the skin firmer and more revitalized.
Contraindications
Manual lymphatic drainage is contraindicated in the following cases:
-Acute infections; decompensated heart failure; phlebitis; thrombosis; thrombophlebitis; carotid sinus syndrome; hypertension; certain types of skin conditions; cancer, bronchial asthma and asthmatic bronchitis; hyperthyroidism; part of the body swollen, painful, red, feeling unwell.
How is done
The procedure imitates the action of the lymphatic vessels and begins with light pressure on the face, just to move the skin, but without pressing it too deeply. This serves to open small lymphatic vessels, thus allowing tissue fluid to be transferred to the lymphatic system.
The basic movement of drainage is in the form of circles, which begin with a slightly lower pressure towards the lymph nodes and end with a lower level of pressure. The purpose of this is to push the fluids that are inside the lymphatic vessels towards the lymph nodes.
Peridity
Sessions can be done once a week, or even more than that, in the case of a treatment for skin in need. "The ideal frequency will depend on each case, but it is important to maintain regular treatment so as not to harm the final result.”
Care
Facial lymphatic drainage is a gentle and therapeutic technique that stimulates the lymph nodes of the face and neck, helping to eliminate toxins, reduce swelling and improve oxygenation of the skin. After the session, the skin is more irrigated and relaxed, requiring some care to maintain the benefits and avoid sensitization.
Avoid washing your face with hot water or exposing yourself to the sun for 24 hours, as the heat can intensify vascularization and cause redness or blemishes.
Moisturize your skin well with light and soothing products, such as lotions based on aloe vera, cucumber or hyaluronic acid, to enhance the detoxification and revitalization effects.
Avoid friction, strong massages or exfoliation in the treated area, as the skin will be more sensitive due to lymphatic stimulation.
Do not use makeup immediately after the procedure, allowing the skin to breathe and absorb the effects of the treatment.
Drink plenty of water throughout the day to help the body eliminate the toxins mobilized by the drainage.
