What is it
Russian current is an electrical stimulus used to produce a muscle contraction at the location where it is applied. This can improve muscle tone and sagging skin, in addition to stimulating blood and lymphatic circulation and cellular oxygenation. Aesthetically, it can be used to promote greater facial and body muscle tone, improve cellulite and wrinkles on the face and neck and body modeling. It can also be used to recover muscle tone postpartum and post-weight loss, as well as pre- and post-liposuction.

Indications
Russian current is indicated in cases of sagging skin, cellulite, improvement in muscle tone of the face and body, postpartum, post weight loss and pre and post liposuction.
Benefits
It tones muscles, improves skin firmness and helps with body definition through electrical stimulation.
Contraindications
The use of electrical currents for muscle stimulation should be avoided in people with congestive heart disease and heart failure, people with a pacemaker, individuals with circulatory pathologies such as phlebitis, embolism, varicose veins and thrombophlebitis, people with high or low blood pressure, infectious and inflammatory processes, fever, neoplasia, chronic kidney diseases, pulmonary pathologies (such as emphysema), skin tumors, extensive skin diseases, fragility of the capillaries, some diseases rheumatological, metallic implants, tendon and ligament muscle injuries that prevent physiological muscle contraction.
How is done
The technique consists of an alternating medium frequency current of 2,500 Hz, applied as a series of separate shots, with the aim of producing intense muscle enhancement, reducing the patient's sensory perception as much as possible. The current can only be applied for five to 20 minutes, the electrical current is depolarized and therefore does not present a risk of shock. There is only a risk of greater pain with treatment as the intensity of the current increases.
Peridity
10 to 20 sessions are required and can be done up to two or three times a week. Electrical stimuli are applied for between five and 20 minutes, longer than this can cause muscle fatigue. Maintenance after these sessions depends on the case and objective and must be guided by the doctor.
Care
Russian Current is an aesthetic treatment that uses medium-frequency electrical stimulation to promote muscle contraction, improving tone and helping to shape the body. After the session, the skin may be slightly sensitive, and the body continues to react to the stimulation for a few hours — therefore, some care is recommended to preserve the results and the client's comfort.
Avoid direct sun exposure for the first 24 hours, as the skin may be sensitive and more prone to redness or blemishes.
Avoid environments with intense heat (such as saunas, hot baths or intense exercise) to avoid overloading the circulation and muscles that have already been electrically stimulated.
Moisturize the skin well with soothing lotions and drink plenty of water, helping to eliminate toxins released during the session.
If you feel slight muscle pain, consider this a normal response to the stimulation and avoid massaging or rubbing the treated area excessively.
Return as per the treatment plan to ensure continued results, respecting the intervals recommended by the professional.
